چکیده

abstract This note is concerned with the accuracy of the solution of nearly uncoupled Markov chains by a direct method based on the LU decomposition. It is shown that plain Gaussian elimination may fail in the presence of rounding errors. A modiication of Gaussian elimination with diagonal pivoting as well as corrections of small pivots by sums of oo-diagonal elements in the pivoting columns is proposed and analyzed. It is shown that the accuracy of the solution is aaected by two condition numbers associate with the aggregate and the coupling respectively. COMPARISON ABILITY OF GA AND DP METHODS FOR OPTIMIZATION OF RELEASED WATER FROM RESERVOIR DAM BASED ON PRODUCED DIFFERENT SCENARIOS BY MARKOV CHAIN METHOD

Planning for supply water demands (drinkable and irrigation water demands) is a necessary problem. For this purpose, three subjects must be considered (optimization of water supply systems such as volume of reservoir dams, optimization of released water from reservoir and prediction of next droughts). For optimization of volume of reservoir dams, yield model is applied. Reliability of yield mod...

Fundamental Steady state Solution for the Transversely Isotropic Half Space

Response of a transversely isotropic 3-D half-space subjected to a surface time-harmonic excitation is presented in analytical form. The derivation of the fundamental solutions expressed in terms of displacements is based on the prefect series of displacement potential functions that have been obtained in the companion paper by the authors. First the governing equations are uncoupled in the cyl...

EditionLocal convergence of the ( exact and inexact ) iterative aggregation method for linear systemsand Markov

The iterative aggregation method for the solution of linear systems is extended in several directions: to operators on Banach spaces; to the method with inexact correction, i.e., to methods where the (inner) linear system is in turn solved iteratively; and to the problem of nding stationary distributions of Markov operators. Local convergence is shown in all cases. Convergence results apply to ...

Spice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits

An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...

Dynamic Fracture Analysis Using an Uncoupled Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian Finite Element Formulation

This paper deals with the implementation of an efficient Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) formulation for the three dimensional finite element modeling of mode I self-similar dynamic fracture process. Contrary to the remeshing technique, the presented algorithm can continuously advance the crack with the one mesh topology. The uncoupled approach is employed to treat the equations. So, each t...
